Prof. Asoc. Dr. Altin Muça

Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Prof. Asoc. Dr. Altin Muça was graduated in Economics in 1992. Until 2003 he has worked as Professor in the Marketing and Tourism Department of Economics Faculty, University of Tirana. In 2003 he joined Besa Fund at the position of Director of Marketing Department. He has different qualifications from the Defense Department of USA and by the Japan International Cooperation Agency. He has attended different seminars on “International Trade Financing and International Marketing”, for which he has also received certificates. In September 2003 he received the academic title of Doctor of Economic Sciences and in July 2011 received the academic title of Associate Professor.

Mrs. Luiza Shehu

Member of the Supervisory Board

Mrs. Luiza Shehu with a long experience in the Legal sector, has been graduated in Law Faculty in 1995. She has held the position of Director of Legal Directory in Ministry of Agriculture and Food. In 2004 she received the Master diploma in Public Administration from the University of Nebraska. She joined the microfinance sector in 2007, in the position of Director of Legal, Human Resource & Internal Administration Department in FAF. JSC (ex MAFF). Since February 2016 she is holding the position of the Director of the Legal Department, Besa Fund. Other relevant professional experience: Lecturer of Banking and Insurance Law; Legal Expert for GTZ; and Licensed Lawyer since 2013.

Përparim Xhafa

Member of the Supervisory Board

Mrs. Mr. Përparim Xhafa graduated from the “Agricultural Institute” in the field of Economics in 1990. His career in the banking sector began in 1994 as a Credit Specialist at “BKT” bank. In 1998, he held the position of Head of the Treasury Department at the Ministry of Finance, and in 2004 he joined the Internal Audit Department at the same ministry. His career also includes the position of Faculty Director at the “European University of Tirana”, Internal Audit Director at the General Directorate of Road Transport Services, and currently Internal Audit Director at the Albanian Radio and Television (RTSH). He has participated in several seminars related to internal auditing and, in 2023, was certified as a Technical Assessor for ISO/IEC 17021:2015 standard.

Bajram Korsita

Member of the Supervisory Board

Mr. Bajram Korsita graduated from the University of Tirana in Industrial Economics in 1987. In 1993, he held the position of Credit Officer at the “Agricultural National Bank”. His long career includes the role of Regional Credit Officer at “Fondi Besa”, Executive Director for many years at the First Financial Development Company, as well as Executive Director at the Albanian Development Guarantee Foundation. Mr. Bajram Korsita has also worked for a long period as a lecturer and is currently a professor at the “Aleksandër Moisiu” University.

Besnik Bani

Member of the Supervisory Board

Mr. Besnik Bani graduated from the University of Tirana in Economics in 1986. His career in the banking sector began in 1992 as a Credit Specialist, and in 2005 he advanced to the position of Branch Director. From 2006 to 2020, Mr. Besnik Bani served as a Regional Credit Officer at “Fondi Besa”. He currently holds the position of Head of the Human Resources Management Department at “UBA Bank”.
