Altin Muça
Board Chair
Associate Professor Dr. Altin Muça graduated from the Faculty of Economics in 1992. Until 2003, he worked as a professor in the Department of Marketing and Tourism at the Faculty of Economics, University of Tirana. In 2003, he joined Besa Fund as Director of the Marketing Department. He has completed several professional development programmes with the U.S. Department of State and the Japan International Cooperation Agency. He has also attended and received certification for seminars on “International Trade Finance and International Marketing.” In September 2003, he earned his doctoral degree, and in July 2011 he was awarded the title of Associate Professor.
Luiza Shehu

Luiza Shehu has extensive experience in the legal sector and graduated from the Faculty of Law in 1995. She served as Director of the Legal Department at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. In 2004, she earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Nebraska. She joined the microfinance sector in 2007 as Director of Legal Affairs, Human Resources and Internal Administration at FAF JSC (formerly MAFF). Since 2016, she has served as Director of the Legal Department at Besa Fund. Her other professional experience includes lecturing in Banking and Insurance Law, working as a legal expert for GTZ, and practising as a licensed lawyer since 2013.
Përparim Xhafa
Board Member
Mr. Përparim Xhafa graduated in Economics from the Agricultural Institute in 1990. His banking career began in 1994 as a Credit Specialist at BKT. In 1998, he became Director of the Treasury Branch at the Ministry of Finance, and in 2004 he joined the Internal Audit Sector at the same ministry. His career has also included serving as a faculty director at the European University of Tirana and as Director of Internal Audit at the General Directorate of Road Transport Services. He currently serves as Director in the Internal Audit Directorate at the Albanian Radio Television. He has attended several internal audit seminars and, in 2023, was certified as a Technical Assessor for ISO/IEC 17021:2015.
Bajram Korsita

Mr. Bajram Korsita graduated in Industrial Economics from the University of Tirana in 1987. In 1993, he worked as a Credit Officer at the Albanian Agrarian Bank. His extensive career includes serving as a Regional Credit Officer at Besa Fund, Executive Director of the First Financial Development Company for many years, and Executive Director of the Albanian Development Guarantee Foundation. He has also worked as a lecturer for many years and currently teaches at Aleksandër Moisiu University.
Besnik Bani
Board Member
Mr. Besnik Bani graduated in Economics from the University of Tirana in 1986. His banking career began in 1992 as a Credit Specialist, and in 2005 he became a Branch Director. From 2006 to 2020, he served as a Regional Credit Officer at Besa Fund. He currently heads the Human Resources Management Department at UBA Bank.
