As part of the Borrow Wisely campaign, ASF follows the tradition of lending awareness and financial education for our customers, and not only.
You have the power and the right to make sure you’re borrowing wisely and avoid the risk of credit overload by following a simple guide in the form of questions.
The first question you should ask yourself before getting a loan is:
“How much can I afford to borrow?!”
Answer:
– Learn how to calculate accurately your monthly savings
– Monthly loan repayments should not exceed 70% of your monthly savings.
Example: If income = 10 ALL and expenses = 8 ALL, then SAVINGS = 2 ALL.
In this case, the monthly installment is 70% of 2 = 1.4 ALL.
