SwissContact is a foundation focused on international development cooperation. It has been present in Albania since 1993 with projects in vocational training, labour market integration and economic development.
SwissContact has launched the C4EE Project, whose overall goal is to integrate young people (45-50% women) from marginalized groups or migrate to the sustainable labour market through appropriate training to access jobs . By teaching them basic skills, participants in training cycles will be equipped with the skills to make a living and be active participants in society. SwissContact is trying to support new and existing entrepreneurs (also trainees) by connecting them with Microfinance Institutions to fund their self-employment activities. The funding project will start in 2020 with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding.
