Kiva is an international non-profit organization, founded in 2005 with the mission to connect and bring people together through lending and poverty alleviation. Kiva aims to provide opportunities for borrowers around the world, especially developing countries, including Albania.

Kiva visions a comprehensive financial world, where all people have the power to improve their lives.

Kiva operates the crowdfunding form and distributes this capital to clients excluded from the banking system, improving the quality and cost of financial services and reducing financial access barriers worldwide. Through Kiva’s work, students can pay for education, women can start businesses, farmers are able to invest in equipment, and families can afford the necessary urgent expenses. A Kiva loan provides development opportunities for the borrower but provides even wider benefits by affecting certain families or groups.

Agro & Social Fund agreement with Kiva started in April 2012 (at that time Vision Fund Albania). During this period Agro & Social Fund has disbursed $5,5mln from KIVA funds on behalf of its clients.
